Who are we?
For over a century Scots Kirk Sunday School has been the starting point of Christian life for many, many children. We have provided basic knowledge of Christianity which has enabled children to make their own choices in adult life. The tradition continues and new members (aged 3 and upwards) are always warmly welcomed.
Our aim is to present to the children, in a fun and happy atmosphere, by means of Bible stories, songs, games, craft, felt board stories and DVD's:
An introduction to God
The wonders and wisdom of the Bible in the 21st
century
The teaching of Jesus
Life skills based on Christianity
The fellowship of other children
The importance of the church in our community
The children meet in church at 9.30am each Sunday. A children's address is given by Rev John Webster, followed by a children's song. We then move out into the Sunday School room in the church hall for lessons and activities.
Other Activities
During the year we have picnics, parties and celebrate special times such as Easter and Christmas. Videos and photos are taken at these special events, made into DVD movies and given to the children to keep.
